When we view the professions of firefighters, police officers, military personnel, and other civil servants, many characteristics of their spirit are very similar.
First, we find that the majority of these individuals are unselfish. Being able to bear the burden of someone else’s anguish and agony and serve their best interest is emblematical of these servants.
Secondly, we find that the majority of these professions are not highly compensated. For most of these civil servants, the service aspect of the work is the most rewarding element of the job. Monetary compensation is a secondary issue.
Finally, many of these individuals are willing to risk their own lives on behalf of another person or a group of people. These servants are ready to die in service for the greater good of the society they live in.
Servant hood and intercession in the Christian walk has to be a characteristic of believers throughout the world.
